The Causes of Forehead Acne and How to Deal With It

By

Like any other acne type, forehead acne is caused by germs, bacteria, dirt and clogged skin pores. Other reasons would also include genetic inheritance and occasional hormonal changes both applicable to men and women. The most basic way to get rid of it is to regenerate your skin from clogging dirt and oils by washing it at least twice a day with facial cleansers.

Acne on the forehead is easily noticeable, embarrassing and may attract too much attention. That is why anyone would try to find the easiest way to get rid of it. If you are dealing with forehead acne, you are not alone. A lot of people have suffered from it, even worst than a simple volcanic zit that you may have. The fact is, this is the main reason why industries operating in the fields of beauty products are raking in money, simply because their products work.

So the first thing to do for forehead acne treatment is to find the right facial skin care solution that works best for you. A lot of beauty and skin care products may be flooding the market but the most important thing to do is to come up with the best choice for your individual needs. Choose skin care products that are FDA approved. If possible, consult with your own dermatologist or a skin expert prior to this. These people know what is best for you in relation to your skin type, genetic history, hormonal change and even allergic history. Taking antibiotics to cure acne is entirely different solution, but in any case you still have to consult with your doctor about the right dosage especially if you have issues of hormonal balance.

Perhaps the most neglected reason for occasional forehead acne breakouts is the fact that we might overlook our unmanageable hair.  Even though the forehead is the usual target spot for acne because it lies in the T-zone, still if you do not maintain clean hair then it will promote forehead acne breakout.  The human scalp regenerates its own natural oils especially at night.  So in any case, scalp oils may press down one’s forehead when we sleep at night if we don’t keep our hair away.  Therefore people who have bangs run the risk of having overnight forehead acne because of this.  Wearing head caps or bonnet too tight especially on hot and humid days would generate heat and sweat that allows bacteria to grow on the forehead which in turn may lead to acne.

However, an everyday hair wash will decrease such probability.  Always remember to keep you hair clean and neat.  You will notice that if you follow this hygienic regimen, you will come away with a spotless, acne-free forehead.
