How to Deal With Bad Acne

By

Nothing is more miserable than waking up on a fine morning and realizing that an ordinary spot has become conspicuous acne overnight. Dealing with bad acne has always been hard for growing adolescents and adults alike. This is the main reason why facial and beauty products are considered to be a billion-dollar industry – after all, most people in this world would certainly choose the right solution just to get rid of bad acne.

Acne is defined as a general term to describe pimples, whiteheads, blackheads and cysts, but a lot of people would usually associate it to an embarrassing and frustrating volcanic zit on one’s face that badly needs medical help. Acne, spots, zits – whatever you call it – certainly decreases anyone’s confidence and self esteem – most of these people resorting to seclude themselves because they are too embarrassed to face the world. In worst conditions, bad acne can result to even more serious skin problems, if shrugged off and ignored. The only way to cure them is to deal with them with necessary and appropriate steps.

It is usual to look at one’s face upon first meeting, so the face is one of the most treasured parts of the body.  Lots of people have spent tremendous amounts of cash just to make themselves beautiful – their faces spotless and smooth at all times.  As the human eye inevitably tends to look for blemishes on faces, then it is important to keep it clean and pleasant to attract other people.  However, if you suffer from occasional pimples, you immediately feel instant embarrassment and a sudden gut-feeling overtakes you to avoid people.  The question is whether you are willing to bear it or whether you are going to deal with your bad skin acne.  If you go for the latter, then you better get yourself ready to take charge and battle these facial disasters.

These are some of the basic reminders to keep your face spotless and blemish free.

1.     Wash yourself everyday to remove excess oils that may result in blackheads.  As much as possible, do not use ordinary bath soap.  Instead, go for facial soap or foaming cleanser as they contain less acidic chemicals as compared to ordinary bath soaps.  Your facial skin is soft and more sensitive than any part of the body, so they require extra care and protection.

2.     Don’t touch your face frequently.  Although it is inevitable that once in a while you may touch your face, then you have to make sure you maintain clean nails and hands at all times.  This will prevent germs from building on your face that may lead to incredibly bad acne.

3.     Never pop a zit.  If you find it necessary to pop it, use sterilized needles and warm compress or consult a skin expert.  The temptation of popping a pimple may be very high but always bear in mind that it can possibly lead to ugly permanent scars in the future.

4.     Drink water regularly.  You may have heard of this but it is really true.  Water has the ability to wash away body toxins to reflect younger-looking, glowing skin.

5.     Use the right facial care solutions for your skin.  Nothing is more appropriate than finding the right remedy for occasional acne.  To do this, ask a skin care specialist or a dermatologist.  If you opt for antibiotic treatments then it is important to consult with skin experts.

Every treatment varies to every skin type and person. So always watch out for new and improved versions of your own facial cleansers and facial solutions.  Stay away from direct sunlight and dirt.  If you think your acne has gotten deep under your skin, then seeing your doctor remains to be your priority for bad acne treatment.
