CECT Mini Review

I purchased a CECT mini nearly 3 months ago and really like it. The phone has nearly all the options of an iPhone with half the size. I purchased the CECT mini ka08 model. The phone has an all touch screen with one button at the bottom, large memory, and small size. It was really everything I was looking for in a new phone and they are very reasonably priced.

The touch screen is very small but easy to use. There are some trade offs when using a phone this small. To dial the phone I usually have to use a fingernail to avoid hitting the wrong numbers, but it is not that much of a hassle. The phone’s screen is unlocked by using slide to unlock technology. After using the phone the screen automatically locks, which is nice because you do not have to worry about accidentally hitting buttons. More than once I have been accidentally called by friends with touch screen phones in their pockets or purses.

The memory on this phone is great. It will receive a micro sd card with up to 8gb of memory. This should be plenty of memory for any phone user. This is enough memory for thousands of songs or several full length movies. The phone will shoot video, but the quality is pretty poor. The same goes for the camera. These phones should not be purchased for the video or photo features.

The main reason I bought this phone was for the size. It is a cool little phone that garners attention, but size was the deciding factor for me. I needed a phone that would easily fit into my pocket and the CECT mini fit the bill in that aspect. It has a nicely rounded back that fits perfectly in your pocket with the rounded back you hardly feel the phone in your pocket at all.

There are a lot of features packed into this mini phone. The phone has an FM radio that works with the headset. It also has a very nice MP3 player and video player. In addition, it is dual sim capable. This means if you have a work phone and a personal phone, you could put both sim cards into this one phone and receive and make calls. The phone also has many other options found on most phones such as a internet browser, calculator, organizer, and many more. Another great feature of this phone is the fact that it contains 6 external speakers, making this one of the loudest phones you will find.

Overall, I am very happy with the phone. It is an iPhone lookalike, but the quality is not as high. It is significantly cheaper so they had to cut some corners somewhere. The phone has a plastic casing that will chip slightly when dropped. I have dropped my phone several times, but it still looks pretty good. The phone can be found many places unlocked for under a $100 with shipping.
